Virtual Events

The Kentucky Book Festival is all virtual this year!

The staff at Kentucky Humanities worked together with our board, health officials, and other trusted advisors to assess the best plan of action for the Kentucky Book Festival this year. We concluded that, given the uncertainty of the pandemic, it is best to move the 2020 Kentucky Book Festival to a virtual format. While in-person programs previously scheduled to occur at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Alltech Arena this November are cancelled, we have planned an online Kentucky Book Festival featuring 60 authors.

Despite not being able to come together in-person for the first time since the event’s inception, the KBF will deliver a fantastic variety of online sessions with John Grisham, Nicholas Kristof & Sheryl WuDunn, J. R. Ward, Nikky Finney, Terry Brooks, Margaret Verble, David Blight, Silas House, and more.

Follow us @kyhumanities on social media for news! Unless noted, sessions are free to attend, but we encourage advance registration through Zoom for the best experience.
